From a place name
to your door
You pick the place
Choose a city, a state or a country from the list, or type any place on earth. The small line under the name fills itself in, and you can change it.
Tedooo draws it
Tedooo’s design technology draws your place in the craft you chose in about a minute: its landmarks or scenery, its colors, the name lettered big. Add your dog or family if you like. It is free, and you can draw it again as often as you want.
You approve it
Nothing is charged until you approve a design and check out through Tedooo. The design you approve is the one that gets made, so the approving comes first.
It is made to order
Cut and sealed in acrylic, leaded in stained glass, set in glitter resin, made as a glass ornament or printed on the knit, from your approved design and nobody else’s.
It ships, tracked
The delivery window is shown before you pay, and the tracking follows on Tedooo’s tracking page once your piece ships.
What is each craft made of?
Acrylic city art. Your place is built from glossy cut glass and sealed inside a crystal-clear acrylic float frame with polished edges, held off the wall by corner standoffs. The name sits in dimensional script, raised from the glass.
Stained glass suncatcher. A round of colored glass, each piece outlined by a lead line, so the landmarks are drawn by the lines and the light comes through the color. You pick the background tone, or leave it on Auto.
Glitter resin art. Fine pigment layers sealed under one mirror-glossy flood of clear resin, on a marbled background flecked with metallic leaf. The square panel arrives polished and ready to hang.
Glass ornament. Thick translucent glass with raised metallic lead lines and a hand-painted center, the place name on an integrated glass banner.
City beanie. A chunky ribbed knit with a deep fold-over cuff, the design printed small and sharp on the front. You pick the hat color in the studio.
What is drawn by technology, and what is made?
The design is drawn by Tedooo’s design technology, the same engine behind the made-to-order pieces on the Tedooo marketplace. The piece is made to order from that design, in the craft you chose, and sold and checked out through Tedooo. The design you see and approve is what the piece is made from.
What will not be on it?
- No religious buildings or symbols.
- No logos, team marks or brand signs: the landmarks are drawn, not licensed marks.
- No generic skyline with your name on it: your place’s own landmarks or scenery.
Start with your place on the studio page, or find it among the ready-made pieces in the shop.
Questions this leaves
Is the suncatcher real glass?
Yes. It is stained glass: colored glass pieces held by lead lines, not a print on plastic.
Is the acrylic panel glass or plastic?
Both, and that is the point of it: the picture is glossy cut glass, and the frame it is sealed in is clear acrylic, which is lighter than a glass frame and keeps the glass safe inside.
Is the beanie embroidered?
No. The design is printed, small and sharp, on the front of the knit, which keeps fine lettering and a landmark crisp.
